Description:
· Prospect new business relationships, develop existing customer base, arrange sales calls and respond to inquiries in the geographical area of coverage assigned & cold calls.
· Implement regular call cycles to maintain contact and to report to management progress at new and existing accounts.
· Plan sales & gross profit activities on a long-term basis. Develop objectives and action plan for accounts.
· Work with customers to provide solutions in packaging applications, system integrations, demonstration and trials.
· Prepare quotations and make necessary presentations that effectively demonstrate system or product value.
· Have a strong work ethic and make a genuine contribution to the organization's growth and profitability.
· Organize & work independently as well as work flexible hours due to customer needs.
· Drive and support the xpedx Packaging - Facility Supply program.
Stay current and educate our sales staff on new trends and products.
· Work with vendors developing strategic accounts within the Southern Group market.
· Ability to develop and execute prospecting and account plans.
· Sales lead and account generation capabilities.
· Proven decision making and problem solving skills.
· Proven customer service & interface skills.
· Strong computer software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent analytical & problem solving skills.
· Proven outside sales experience, preferably selling a technical solution or service.
· Ability to work well in high pressure situations, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
