Position Description

Position will provide leadership, help allocate appropriate resources, and establish capabilities to enable and facilitate successful execution of strategic initiatives and identifying and developing new markets, indications, and products, as well as maintaining and advancing existing major product lines. Position will also manage one or two large scale intermediate projects, defining them in terms of their constituent projects and providing an infrastructure which allows for optimization of business benefit, timing, utilization of resources and cost. Oversees the development execution of FDA approved clinical trials to gain product approval to deliver project objectives. This position reports to the Senior Marketing Director.

Position Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Implement and manage a Project Management Center of Excellence and Systems designed to ensure a consistent, disciplined approach to manage performance and reinforce the behaviors necessary to achieve project management excellence in the Spinal & Biologics business.
· Interacts with project team members and functional managers to drive all aspects of the project management process from initiation, planning, execution, control and closure.
· Establish best practices for developing, implementing, and maintaining marketing analysis, revenue and profit forecasts, the promotion of existing product lines, the development of clinical and pre-clinical strategies, and product commercialization processes.
· Plans daily activities to ensure program objectives are achieved on a timely basis.

Implement and manage tools to measure achievement of the project plan.
· Implement and drive organizational adoption of a capacity assessment processes regarding funds and resources.
· Collaborates with project team members and functional managers to develop project timelines, milestones and budgets..
· Responsible for creating and maintaining MS Project timelines for each project, using these timelines to track and manage project progress.

Drive acceptance of project management process and common language on process, program teams, disciplined capacity planning, project complexity and transparency, and risk exposure.
· Manages cross functional project teams from the groups within research and developmentt, clinical, regulatory, compliance, marketing, and others as assigned.
· Works with functional areas on initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing and re-prioritizing marketing projects

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience including broad multi-functional business experience along with 5+ years of project and/or people management experience, Or
Masters degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience including broad multi-functional business experience along with 3+ years of project and/or people management experience

· Successful track record of leading intermediate projects through implementation
· Demonstrated capacity for both tactical and strategic thinking, planning, and execution.
· Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and database and project management software.
· Must be professional, dedicated, and detail-oriented. Other key qualifications include knowledge of comprehensive business management, change management, product development or marketing, and influence management.
· Requires the ability to negotiate and manage competing priorities across multiple functional areas.
