Requisition Number 09-1335 Description FTN Financial is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, with 16 Regional Offices across the United States and 2 offices in Asia. Information Technology services are managed and supported from the Memphis office, where a centralized network and server facility is located. About half of FTN's 750 employees work at the Memphis headquarters; of those, about 120 have desks on the sales/ trading floor where the Help Desk is located.
The FTN standard desktop includes the Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft applications, specific financial industry applications and a number of proprietary programs authored and maintained by FTN IT.

The Client Services Analyst is responsible for providing first and second level technical support for FTN Financial employees who rely on information technology to perform their jobs and maintain competitive advantage. The successful candidate will possess a thorough working knowledge of current desktop applications (Windows, Office, printing, Internet tools, etc.), hardware, virus protection, Windows security procedures along with a general knowledge of networking, Active Directory and telephony in a structured corporate environment.
The Client Services Analyst is a part of the FTN Information Technology Client Services team and works closely with Active Directory, Exchange, Storage and Networks Administrators, among others, to ensure a highly available and highly responsive systems environment for FTN Financial, an energetic and fast-paced leader in financial markets. The FTN Client Services Analyst provides first and second level support such as assistance and problem resolution with desktop systems and applications, file access, password lockouts and resets, file restorations from backup, security issues, permissions, application support, e-mail issues, network connectivity, Internet issues, printer issues, workstation support and Blackberry wireless device support.
In addition to these support activities, Client Services personnel may participate in IT projects, equipment and client moves and changes, application rollout, security-focused projects, equipment build and deployment and other special activities. Client Services personnel may conduct training sessions for FTN employees. Occasional after-hours project work and routine on-call support will be required.
The candidate must be capable and willing to learn applications specific to the financial industry and many applications proprietary to FTN. The person in the position of Client Services Analyst will need to grow progressively in the areas of technical proficiency and responsibility.
Requirements A B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or other qualifying discipline is preferred. In addition, four years of significant experience in IT with demonstrated success in client-level problem resolution and working with customers is required.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player and will possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel. An attitude of commitment to customer service is required. The candidate must have demonstrated the capability of working well under pressure as well as the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The Client Services Analyst will work independently or as a part of a team under general supervision.
